Blue Jackets final home preseason game set for Thursday

The Columbus Blue Jackets will face the St. Louis Blues on Thursday night in their final home exhibition game as they prepare for the 2022 season.


The puck is set to drop at 7 p.m. at Nationwide Arena.


With just 29 players remaining in camp, the Blue Jackets have just two more outings to shave their roster down to a 23-man active roster.


Only 20 player can dress out on game day.


Captain Boone Jenner will make his preseason debut against the Blues along with other top players Patrik Laine, Johnny Gaudreau and Zach Werenski.

Columbus (3-2-1) will conclude their preseason Saturday in Washington and then open up the season on Oct. 12 at Carolina.


The home opener is slated for Oct. 14 against last year's Eastern Conference champion Tampa Bay Lightning.


The game from Nationwide Arena will be broadcast on 97.1 The Fan as well as streamed on BlueJackets.com and in the CBJ app.
