Buckeyes fall to No. 3 Boilermakers

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. – Brice Sensabaugh scored a team-high 20 points but the Ohio State Buckeyes fell to the third-ranked Purdue Boilermakers 82-55 on Sunday afternoon.


Sensabaugh, who notched his ninth 20-point game this season, went 3-of-6 from behind the arc and pulled in a team-high five rebounds.


Purdue's big man, Zach Edey, had 26 points and 11 rebounds for his 21st double-double of the season.


Edey scored 16 points in the first half, including a slam off a rebound just before the intermission, to help Purdue build a 38-29 halftime lead.


The Boilermakers did most of its damage from the foul line during the first half, taking advantage of 13 fouls by the Buckeyes. Purdue went 15 of 19 from the foul line and shot 10 of 23 from the field in the opening half.


Purdue pulled away in the second half, outscoring the Buckeyes 44-26 and leading by as many as 31 points.


Sean McNeil finished with 10 points on two assists and a team-high three steals. Felix Okpara, who started in place of an injured Zed Key, scored four points and had a season-high four blocks.
