ARLINGTON, Texas — The Ohio State Buckeyes and star wide receiver Marvin Harrison Jr. arrived in Texas to make their final preparations for the Cotton Bowl, but there are still no indications that the two-time All American will be playing.
The seventh-ranked Buckeyes face off with the No. 9 Missouri Tigers on Friday night at 8:00 PM on ESPN.
Harrison again didn't fully participate during the portion of practice that was open to the media on Wednesday and did not take part in interview sessions afterwards with top offensive players.
The day before, Harrison spent the beginning of practice riding a stationary bike while the rest of the team stretched and began their practice.
Head coach Ryan Day was not available for the media on Wednesday as well, but will be in a dual press conference with Missouri head coach Eliah Drinkwitz on Thursday
While questions swirl around Harrison's status, the Buckeyes' leading rusher TreVeyon Henderson said Wednesday that he would play on Friday.
"Of course, you've got all of these worries that come up, what if I get injured, what if this happens But I gave all of those worries to God, and he led me to make that decision to play in this game, to glorify Him and be out there for my brothers," Henderson said. "Everyone's got to do what's best for them."
Sophomore Devin Brown will be starting at quarterback for Ohio State, as former starter Kyle McCord left for Syracuse after hitting the transfer portal on the first day. He will be the first Buckeye quarterback to make his first start in a bowl game.
Fifth-year linebacker and leading tackler Tommy Eichenberg is still questionable due to an arm injury that forced him to miss two games. Even though he returned for the regular-season finale against Michigan, it's still uncertain if he will play.
