Might be time for Texas and Oklahoma to rethink their SEC move
While it was already a questionable decision to move. Today might have provided more doubt about these two programs surviving a heavily contested SEC.
First it was Texas Tech who pulled off the upset over the Longhorns in an overtime thriller. The loss stings even more knowing that Texas surrendered a 14-point lead in the second half.
Then later in the night, Oklahoma suffered a huge loss a home to Kansas State. Although to be fair, they've had trouble with the Wildcats as of late.
These two teams could wind up going down the same path as Texas A&M but it seems the financial windfall or joining the SEC is more tempting than the likelihood of mediocrity for them.
Tennessee is turning some heads
It's been quite a while since the Volunteers have been taken this serious. You'd have to go all the way back to 2007 to find a 10-win season and even further back in 2001 when Tennessee last finished the year in the top 5.
But after beating Florida on Saturday, and couple that with big win on the road over Pittsburgh, it might be time to start thinking maybe they can challenge for a spot in the SEC title game.
