College Football: What we know after week 9

Ohio State needed a convincing win over Penn State

The Buckeyes left Happy Valley with a key win, but it didn't look good for a long time.

Ohio State struggled for a majority of the game against a Nittany Lion team that got smashed by Michigan two weeks prior.

In order to keep up with Michigan, it really seemed like the Buckeyes needed to look strong from start to finish to put doubt in the Wolverines about winning a second year in a row.

Tennessee looked impressive

The Volunteers piled up the points on Saturday but they also played some tough defense.

I know some will react with "well, it was just Kentucky", but the Wildcats are a formidable SEC opponent. They came into the game with a solid ground attack, a top NFL-prospect at quarterback and lost a couple tough games SEC games by one possession.

Tennessee is going to be a major challenge down the stretch and might be able to give Georgia a run for their money next week.
