College World Series schedule for Tuesday

OMAHA, NEB. With six teams remaining in what began as an eight-team field, College World Series action continues on Tuesday with two games at Charles Schwab Field in Omaha, Nebraska.

The first game of the day will see an elimination game between No. 4 North Carolina and No. 8 Florida State. The Tar Heels will be looking to stay alive in the tournament after falling to Tennessee 6-1 on Sunday night.

This will be the first time Florida State and North Carolina face each other this season, despite both teams being members of the ACC.

The winner will move on to face Tennessee and will have to defeat the Volunteers twice in order to advance to the CWS championship series.

The second game will see Florida or Kentucky try to avoid elimination. The Gators defeated North Carolina State 5-4 on Monday to advance to tonight's game. The Wildcats fell to Texas A&M in a 5-1 decision on Monday. The two teams met in Gainsville during the regular season, with Kentucky winning the series 2-1.
