Impact Player To Watch For Ironton: OL/DL Aiden Layne

Layne will anchor both sides of the line of scrimmage for the Tigers. The senior will primarily protect Braden Schreck's blind side from the left tackle position. However, he can also be placed anywhere else on the offensive line on an as-needed basis. On the season, Layne has compiled 38 tackles with 4 for a loss and an interception.

Key Matchup To Watch When Ironton Has The Ball: Wide Receivers vs. Secondary

As shown just two weeks ago, Ironton will have the talent advantage on the outside. The Trojans are going to have to take away the big play capabilities of Ironton's playmakers. If they cannot play in space and limit the Tigers from getting chunks of yards, it's going to be a long night.

Impact Player To Watch For Portsmouth: RB Chase Heiland

The senior running back has been the workhorse all season for the Trojans and Friday should be no different. And along with QB J.T. Williams, the duo's performances this week will decide the Trojans fate. And it's worth remembering that it as just last season that Heiland recorded a 376-yard performance to lead his team to an upset win in the playoffs. So it wouldn't be Heiland's first time having a huge performance in postseason play.

Key Matchup To Watch When Portsmouth Has The Ball: Rushing Attack vs. Rush Defense

While the Trojans rushing attack has been headlined by both Heiland and Williams, it's the big guys up front that will be the key to their success. Ironton was able clamp down on Portsmouth's rushing game two weeks ago, but that was then and this is now. If the Trojan offensive line can open up holes early, it could allow them to control the clock and keep this one close.
