IRONTON — This one was what the doctor ordered.
Playing their seventh game in 11 days, the St. Joseph Flyers found their offense and got a big lead early en route to a 63-23 win over the Sciotoville East Tartans in a Southern Ohio Conference 1 game.
Nine different players scored with four in double figures led by Drew Brown with 14 points including a pair of 3-pointers.
Landon Rowe had 11 points while Jake Stephens and Carter Johnson scored 10 each for the Flyers (7-10, 5-2).
Keagan Barker led East (5-9, 1-5) with 12 points with Kaiden Huston adding 8.
St. Joseph took a 12-4 first quarter lead as Eli Whaley and Rowe hit 3-pointers, Johnson had 4 points and Brown added a basket.
The lead went to 24-10 at the half as Johnson had 4 more points, Brown hit a 3-pointer and Rowe added 3 points.
The Flyers blew the game open in the third quarter by outscoring the Tartans 22-13 to take a 46-23.
Stephens scored 8 points, Brown got 6 points, and Rowe and Whaley each drained trifectas.
Barker scored 10 points including a pair of 3-pointers while Huston was 3-of-3 at the foul line for East in the quarter.
The Flyers shutout the Tartans 17-0 in the fourth quarter.
Zane Dressel scored his first varsity points as he and Aiden Deborde got 4 points each.
