The Ironton Fighting Tigers are Ford tough.
Led by senior Eli Ford who claimed medalist honors, the Fighting Tigers won the Ohio Valley Conference golf tournament.
Ironton posted a 313 team score followed by the Fairland Dragons at 337, the Gallipolis Blue Devils 339 and Coal Grove Hornets 341.
Ford and Gallipolis’ Cash Jones each shot a 75 but Ford won the playoff to take top honors.
Ironton had three golfers on the All-OVC first team. Hunter Freeman and Carson Blankenship each carded a 76 to finish in a tie behind Ford and Jones.
Ironton also had Silas Keyes shoot and 88 to earn honorable mention honors.
Fairland was paced by Jeremiah Fizer and Kyle Salyer who each shot an 80 and earned first team All-OVC honors. The Dragons E.B. Hall shot an 87 and was honorable mention.
Coal Grove had two golfers on the all-league first team as Joel Beals and Logan Coffman each shot an 81.
Chesapeake Panthers Jacob Skeens shot an 82 and earned All-OVC honors.
Jones was joined on the All-OVC first team by Braeden Cardwell.
