CENTENARY — The Ironton Fighting Tigers left no doubt who was the best team.
Ironton’s wrestlers won all four team matches and captured the Ohio Valley Conference team championship at Gallia Academy High School.
Ironton beat South Point 66-6, Fairland 60-18, Chesapeake 42-30 and Gallia Academy 36-33.
Ironton individual champions were Liam Almekinder in the 113-pound class, Nate Sloan at 132, and Barkley Litton in the 175 division.
Fairland came away with the individual awards as C.J. Graham — state runner-up last season — was the Most Valuable Wrestler in the lower weight classes while Will Callicoat was the upper weight class Most Valuable Wrestler.
