PEDRO — When the Green Lady Bobcats have Knapp Time, no one sleeps.
Abbie Knapp scored 30 points as the Lady Bobcats routed the Grace Christian Lady Soldiers 56-38 Saturday at the Rock Hill Hardwood on the Hill.
Matti Hayslip scored 14 points and Elizabeth McBee added 8 as Green improved to 10-1 on the season.
Tia Harris scored 10 points to lead Grace Christian (5-3).
Knapp and Hayslip combined for all Green’s points in the first quarter as they took an 18-6 lead. Knapp scored 10 including a 3-pointer while Hayslip hit a pair of 3-pointers as she scored 8.
The pace slowed in the second quarter as Knapp got 4 points as each team scored 8 points to make it 26-14 at the half.
Four different players had a basket for the Lady Soldiers in the quarter.
Kanpp woke back up and scored 8 points in the third quarter while McBee and Mylee Hunt got 2 pints each and Green extended its lead to 38-25.
Abi Perry and Harris scored 4 points each for the Lady Soldiers.
Knapp had 8 points including 4-of-4 at the foul line in the fourth quarter as Green pulled away even further. The Lady Bobcats were 10-of-10 at the line as Hayslip was 4-of-4 and Mylee Brown 2-of-2. McBee added a pair of baskets.
Harris scored 6 points in the fourth with Sarah Hutchinson adding 4.
