VANCEBURG, Ky. — Drew Noble score 20 points and 10 rebounds and Trey Gerike would add 13 as the Lewis County Lions would take down the Raceland Rams 57-38 in a 63rd District game on Tuesday.
The Lions snapped a five-game losing streak. Raceland dropped it's second in a row.
The Rams jumped out to a 11-4 lead when Connor Thacker rattled in a shot from beyond the arc at the 4:12 mark of the opening period.
The Lions would respond with a 7-0 run of their own to tie the game after one period.
The Rams would grab the lead early in the second quarter, with two three pointers from Parker Ison and Landyn Newman for a 17-13 advantage.
But back would come the Lions with 11-2 run this time, highlighted by Caden Box's pull up shot from three to give Lewis County its first lead of the game 22-19 with 3:17 remaining before halftime.
The Lions would go on to hold a 26-23 lead at halftime.
Noble would have 12 points in the first half. Trey Gerike added 6 to lead the Lions in scoring for the first half.
For Raceland, Holden Topping would lead the way with 6 point and Newman would score 5 in the first half.
Gerike would give Lewis County its largest lead of the game with a three from the right corner after scum for the loose ball and make the score 43-30 as time expired in the third frame.
Noble would add to the lead with a layup on a backdoor cut to give Lewis County a 15-point lead to start the fourth period.
Lewis County would go on to outscore the Rams 14-8 in the final frame on their way to a win.
