Noel's 16 leads Lady Hornets over Lady Tigers

It was a numbers game for the Coal Grove Lady Hornets.

Seven different players scored as the Lady Hornets posted an easy 49-15 Ohio Valley Conference win over the Ironton Lady Fighting Tigers on Thursday.

Five different players scored as Coal Grove took a 13-5 first quarter lead. Kendall Taylor hit a 3-pointer and sank 2 free throws to lead the Lady Hornets.

Emerson White hit a trifecta for Ironton.

The lead was 22-7 at the half as Izzy Kitts hit a trey and Alivia Noel had 4 points including 2-of-4 at the foul line.

Noel drilled a 3-pointer and scored 9 points in the third quarter including 4-of-4 at the line with Kitts going 3-of-4 at the stripe and the lead grew to 37-11.

Coal Grove converted 16-of-28 free throws for the game.

Jenna Anson had 4 points and Noel a 3-pointer as Coal Grove outscored Ironton 12-4 in the fourth quarter.

Noel scored a game-high 16 points and Anson had 9 points to lead the Lady Hornets.

White had 7 for Ironton.
