ATHENS —The Ohio wrestling team announced its 2022-23 schedule Tuesday, as announced by head coach Joel Greenlee. The schedule is highlighted by seven Mid-American Conference matchups, five of which are home.
The Bobcats open the season on Nov. 5 at the Michigan State Open in East Lansing, Mich. The following weekend, they travel to Boone, N.C. for the Mountaineer Invitational, followed by the Navy Classic in Annapolis, Md. on Nov. 19 and the Cliff Keen Las Vegas Invitational in Las Vegas, Nev. on Dec. 2-3.
Ohio's first MAC competition of the season takes place on Dec. 10 when they travel to Edinboro, Pa. to take on the Edinboro Fighting Scots at 7 p.m. The Bobcats will host their first home dual meet on Dec. 19 against MAC foe Gardner Webb.
Next, the Bobcats hit the road to face off against West Virginia in Morgantown, W. Va. on Jan. 6; the time is to be determined. Next, they head to Hampton, Va. from Jan. 13-14. Ohio returns to Athens for four consecutive weekend of MAC duals, hosting Northern Illinois at 7 p.m. on Jan. 20, Cleveland State on at 1 p.m. on Jan. 22, Central Michigan at 1 p.m. on Jan. 29 and Kent State on at 7 p.m. Feb. 4.
On Feb. 11, the Bobcats take on SIU Edwardsville at 11 a.m. and Little Rock at 1 p.m. Ohio wraps up regular-season competition at Buffalo on Feb. 18 at 7 p.m.
The MAC Championships will be hosted by George Mason in Fairfax, Va. from Mar. 3-4. The NCAA Championships will be held Mar. 16-18 at the BOK Center in Tulsa, Okla.
