Rams muzzle Greyhounds to advance to Regional Finals

Updated: Dec 12, 2022

RACELAND, Ky. — Logan Lundy tossed four touchdown passes and the Raceland defense forced four turnovers en route to a 43-6 drubbing of the Paris Greyhounds in the second round of the KHSAA Class A playoffs.

Parker Fannin had an interception, Bryson Rowsey had two picks of his own, Elias Jackson blocked two punts, and Andrew Conley forced a fumble as stingy Rams defense held the Greyhounds to just 70 yards of total offense on the night.

Lundy finished the night with 84 yards passing to go along with his four scores and had 43 rushing yards.

The Rams scored on four consecutive drives to begin the game, as Mason Lykins and Lundy hooked up for the game's opening score, a 22-yard toss to put the Rams up 7-0 with 8:31 in the opening quarter.

Landyn Newman would get the honors next as he would take a screen pass from Lundy and score from 10 yards out to extend the Ram lead to 14.

Running backs Jules Farrow and Noah Wallace would provide the games only rushing touchdowns of the night, as Farrow ran in from 15 and Wallace barreled in from 6-yards to put the Rams up 29-0 after the first quarter.

Lundy would tally his third passing score to Parker Fannin just four seconds into the second quarter as he hit his wide receiver on a 12-yard toss. Fannin would improvise a bad snap on the extra point and toss a two-point conversion pass to Farrow to put the score at 37-0.

Lykins would catch a Lundy pass on a crossing route and navigate his way into the end zone to give the Rams a 43-0 lead at the half.

The Greyhounds lone bright spot of the game came midway through the third quarter as Kaden Fredrick threw a 11-yard pass to Trey Murrell on a fourth down play to make the score 43-6.

Raceland (11-1) hosts the Hazard Bulldogs (8-4) in the Regional Championship next Friday night at Ram Stadium. Kickoff will be at 7:30 PM.
