IRONTON — Just call her Babe Sorbilli.
Doing her best imitation of Babe Ruth, Bella Sorbilli has returned from an injury and helped Ironton during its 11-game winning streak including Wednesday’s 5-0 Ohio Valley Conference win over the Portsmouth Lady Trojans.

Sorbilli is 10-for-11 in the 4 games since her return and she has a double, 5 home runs and 15 runs batted in. She was 3-3 with a home run and a double with 3 RBI against Portsmouth.
Braylin Wallace has also been on a roll as the Ironton pitcher and she continued Wednesday with a 3-hitter. Wallace struck out 10 and walked just one in her complete game win.
Ironton (16-4, 11-1) snapped a scoreless tie with 2 runs in the fourth inning when Wallace drew a 2-out walk and Sorbilli cranked a home run to left field that scored courtesy runner Breagan Thomas.
The Lady Fighting Tigers added some insurance runs in the sixth inning to lead 5-0.

With one out, Katelyn Moore singled and scored on Sorbilli’s 2-out double. Emily Weber followed with a double to score Sorbilli.
Khamil Martin was 2-3 with a double, Katelyn Moore 2-3, Weber 1-3 with a double and RBI, and Katie Williams 1-3 as Ironton got 9 hits.
