South Webster wins girls SOC golf title

PORTSMOUTH —Two out of three ain’t bad.

The South Webster Lady Jeeps won the Southern Ohio Conference girls golf tournament on Tuesday at the Elks Country Club and took the top coaching award.

The Lady Jeeps had a 211 team score with the Minford Lady Falcons the runners-up with a 215 total.

Lucasville Valley posted a 236 score, Beaver Eastern 251 and Waverly 260.

Eastern’s Lacey Bevins was the medalist with a 46 and was named the Player of the Year.

The Lady Jeeps Josh Horner was selected as the Coach of the Year.
