MINFORD — It’s the Minford Falcons’ version of The Three Amigos.
Minford’s trio of Myles Montgomery, Jackson Shoemaker and Bennett Kayser combined for 63 points as the Falcons downed the Symmes Valley Vikings 80-54 last Friday.
Montgomery scored 22 points, Bennett had 21 and Shoemaker 20 to lead the potent Falcons’ offense.
The Falcons (6-1) jumped in front 19-10 in the first quarter as Shoemaker drilled a pair of 3-pointers and scored 9 points with Bennett Kayser adding 5 more.
Ethan Smith hit a 3-pointer and scored 6 points for the Vikings.
Minford exploded for 30 points in the second quarter to take a commanding 49-24 lead at the half.
Montgomery, Kayser and Shoemaker scored 8 points each to lead the offensive surge.
Aydan Taylor and Smith each hit a 3-pointer and scored 5 points for Symmes Valley.
Montgomery got hot from long distance in the third quarter with a trio of 3-pointers as he scored 11 points while Kayser added 8 points including a pair of free throws.
Smith scored 6 points and Taylor knocked down a pair of trifectas for the Vikings.
Symmes Valley outscored the Falcons 11-6 in the fourth quarter as Minford emptied its bench.
Smith had 6 more points and Ethan Pinkerman hit a trey for the Vikings.
Kade Glockner scored 4 points including a 3-pointer for the Falcons.
Smith finished with 20 points and Taylor added 11 to lead the Vikings.
The Vikings play at New Boston on Tuesday.
